Life isn’t always easy. We’re saving a special seat by the sea each month for someone who could use a little good news, good food and Cornish views.

SOMEONE SPECIAL
We’re lucky here at Talland Bay.
Every day, we watch the tide roll in, the light change over the bay, and see guests arrive carrying the usual mix of life: busy weeks, big plans, sometimes heavy hearts. More often than not, a little time by the sea works a special kind of magic.
But we also know that for some people, that kind of pause feels out of reach. And sometimes what someone needs most isn’t anything grand, but just a few hours somewhere calm, somewhere welcoming, and somewhere they can take a little time to breathe.
So, we are setting aside a special ‘Seat by the Sea’.
We’re asking you, as friends of Talland, to nominate someone who deserves a reason to smile. Nominations can be made at any time, there is no cut off date. Each month, we’ll privately read each one, and choose one nominee and their guest to join us for lunch or afternoon tea at Talland Bay on us.
how a ‘SEAT BY THE SEA’ works:

You Nominate
Nominate someone who deserves a boost. Someone who is carrying a lot, looking after others, or navigating a tough patch.
2.
We Invite
Each month, we’ll very quietly invite one person and their guest to join us here at Talland Bay for afternoon tea or lunch on the house.
3.
They Accept…
No announcements. No fanfare. No expectation to post about it or tell the world. We won’t share names or stories publicly. We just want to put a smile on their face.
4.
… And Enjoy
A few hours on a day of their choosing, to settle in with us by the sea with some very good food, some restorative Cornish views, and a little less worry.
QUIET KINDNESS
Talland has always been about more than just a place to stay or eat. It’s about how people feel; looked after whilst here and a little lighter when they leave.
If we can pass that feeling on to someone who needs it, even just once a month and for no reason other than to encourage kindness in a world that needs it, then that feels like a very good thing to do.
