Afternoon Tea
Experience the English classic at this Cornish destination.
Jam first
Or second… we don't mind. All we want is for you to devour our delicious scones, served with clotted cream. We also prepare a range of tasty sandwiches, using local ingredients. Plus our chefs create a range of fresh pastries for you to enjoy.
We regularly change our afternoon tea menu to reflect the seasons and ingredients available. This gives you a great excuse to indulge repeatedly throughout the year.
Traditional or tipsy
Afternoon teas have evolved since 1840, when Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, decided that afternoons were shamefully foodless.
At Talland Bay, you can tuck into a moreish selection of fresh homemade cakes, sandwiches and scones. Alongside the food, we offer tea and coffee, as well as a crisp glass of bubbly or a G&T. This is your afternoon tea, for you to enjoy how you want.
Available until the 9th February, when our Valentine’s Afternoon Tea is in full swing until the 15th February, after which our traditional offering returns.
Please be aware a booking is required for afternoon tea, with a minimum of 24 hours notice so our chefs have time to prepare your delicious treats.
MOTHER’S DAY afternoon tea
This isn’t your standard afternoon tea, but a seaside salute to the marvellous mums, honorary mums, grans, nans and anyone else who could use a little spoiling.
Our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea returns from 9th to 22nd March and it’s the perfect excuse for a few hours of uninterrupted loveliness for those who deserve it most. There’ll be cream (first), jam (second), warm scones, finger sandwiches and seemingly endless delicate sweet treats. All served in our special Cornish spot by the sea.
Book your table today and make their Mother’s Day one to be savoured.
OUr Suppliers & partners
We’re a bit in love with all the brilliant local people who supply our kitchen. They are the unsung heroes behind every delicious bite you take. The fishermen, farmers, cheesemongers, butchers and wine merchants all make the magic possible.
By sourcing most of our food locally, our food is fresh and tasty. Plus we are proud to support our neighbours, who are doing fantastic work.
