introducing our new talland bay no. 3.15 gin!

If there’s one thing we take seriously at Talland Bay Hotel (besides dinner), it’s our gin. It’s something we know those who stay at Talland Bay take seriously too, having drunk us dry of our very first creation.

So, we’ve created another. It’s something rather special, if we do say so ourselves, and we think you’ll want to sip it by the sea this winter.

Introducing Talland Bay No. 3.15 Gin: a bold, small-batch gin made in partnership with Colwith Farm Distillery. Known as Cornwall’s first ‘plough to bottle’ distillery, family-run and based just outside Fowey, Colwith Farm is one of the few producers in the UK that creates gin entirely from scratch. Clever right? They grow their own King Edward potatoes to produce a velvety-smooth vodka base, before distilling in small batches on-site right here in Cornwall, something that was important to us in the making of our own gin.

The result is a coastal gin with oodles of personality, a gin that couldn’t be more Talland if it tried. It’s everything we love about our corner of Cornwall: crisp pine taken from our own pine trees and the edges of the coast, punchy juniper, a hint of sea air…all bottled up with a touch of Talland mischief.

We worked closely with Colwith Farm to create a spirit that bottles our setting, our style and our refusal to do things by halves. This isn’t a generic hotel gin, but one full of character, coastal flavours and local spirit. It’s made for those who like their spirits a little wilder and a lot more memorable.

You’ll find Talland Bay No. 3.15 behind the bar at our hotel on the South East Cornwall coast, where it’s best enjoyed with a good tonic, a twist of citrus and a sea view. It’s also available to buy by the bottle both here at the hotel and as a gift on our website, so you can take the taste of Talland home!
