Pause for thought & a pick me up
An afternoon tea is a slow affair, that cultivates quality time with those you care about. It’s a rejuvenating interlude during hot summers and a cosy moment in the chill mid-winter. It’s time well spent.
Afternoon teas have evolved since 1840 when Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, decided that afternoons were shamefully foodless.
At Talland Bay tuck into a moreish selection of fresh homemade cakes, sandwiches, and scones—accompanied by tea, coffee, or perhaps a crisp glass of bubbly or a G&T. There’s nothing wrong with making merry in the afternoon. You’re on holiday after all.
Please be aware a booking is required for afternoon tea, with a minimum of 24 hours notice to allow time for our chefs to prepare your delicious treats!
Leisurely garden picnics
What are pretty gardens for, if not for picnicking? You can enjoy your afternoon tea spread out on our lawn. Watch the white tipped waves and while away the afternoon beneath our great pines. Ask us about our picnic bags when you arrive.
Afternoon tea with the seasons
We like to change our afternoon tea with the seasons and special occasions—such as Christmas and Valentines. Make sure to check out our offers page for our exciting re-imaginings of a British favourite.
