Using local produce
It's important to be authentic
We're committed to delivering the freshest flavours and best ingredients of the season, which is why we work with local suppliers to provide us with produce that really makes our menu shine. Not only does this mean that our chefs get to handpick the best fodder in the area, often on the day that it was picked, plucked, or caught, but it also keeps our food miles to a minimum.
We're proud to work with great Cornish food producers including: Simply Fish for their fresh local fish and seafood; Philip Warrens Butchery for prime meat and game; Looe Produce Market for organic fruit and veg, and local cheese; Skinner's Brewery for their excellent speciality ales from Truro; Cornish Orchard for quality Cornish cider; Cornish Coffee for excellent fresh roast coffees; Furniss Biscuits for fabulous sweet and savoury treats from Redruth; and Rodda's, because afternoon tea isn't complete without Cornish clotted cream.

Although we were booked in for B&B we ate in the hotel restaurant most evenings too because the food was excellent. We loved the canapés that were brought out whilst you were looking over the menu. We ate in the conservatory and fine dining restaurant and both were excellent. We also had afternoon tea twice because it was so good.A Little Wilderness, TripAdvisor
The hotel was fabulous - we could not find fault at all, as was the food and service in the restaurant. My husband was especially taken with the separate menu of 50+ different gins! The meals we had in the main restaurant are some of the best we have had anywhere - a great chef!Elizabeth, TripAdvisor
Stayed at the end of March for a couple of nights for my dad's 70th birthday and had an amazing time as always (6th stay). With a little bit of advanced planning between myself and the lovely staff, my dad was treated to a delicious birthday cake made by the chef himself and everyone in the restaurant sang happy birthday to him! This made it a really special and memorable occasion so I'm very grateful to the staff for allowing that to happen. Topped off with pretty great weather and tasty food, we couldn't have asked for a better couple of days.Bristol Shortcake, TripAdvisor
