Discover Talland Bay

Is Talland Bay Cornwall’s most dog-friendly luxury hotel?

When it comes to dog-friendly luxury hotels in Cornwall, Talland Bay Hotel is head and tails above the rest. If you’re looking for somewhere exceptional to holiday with your dog in Cornwall then read on to discover exactly what we do to make canine guests so welcome.

It’s the little touches

From the moment you arrive you can relax in the knowledge that Talland Bay Hotel is incredibly welcoming to all, be they two or four legged guests. We keep a jar of doggy treats handy at reception and the bar, and you’ll find a pamper pack for pooches in your room complete with blanket, bowls and Alfie & Molly handmade treats.

There are print-outs of local walks and a list of dog-friendly attractions on request. We’ve also compiled a list of top spots to visit with your dog when holidaying in Cornwall.

Access all areas

We like to think of Talland Bay Hotel as a home from home and as such don’t like imposing rules and restrictions. With the exception of our fine-dining restaurant, dogs are welcome to join their owners in all the main areas of the hotel including the lounge, bar and Conservatory restaurant.

Dogs love exploring the grounds as well as Talland Bay itself, a year-round dog-friendly beach.

Room for all

There is a wide range of dog-friendly accommodation to choose from at Talland Bay Hotel including classic and sea view rooms, as well as garden suites with direct access to the beautiful grounds. In fact, apart from two bedrooms (Room 1 and 20) that we keep pet-free, you can stay with your dog in whichever room you prefer.

Not a dog owner? Rest assured that every bedroom receives a deep clean following a doggy guest.

Doggy dining

Dogs can dine with their owners in the Conservatory restaurant and curl up on one of the cosy blankets available at reception. At breakfast time they’ll enjoy their own Kittows Butchers’ sausage and at dinner we serve freshly cooked chicken. We also have a doggy treats menu for any non-resident diners, ideal for a tasty snack at lunchtime, dinner or high tea.

But don’t just take our word for it. Described by Paula Lester from Country Life magazine as a “dog-friendly Cornish delight”, Talland Bay Hotel is no stranger to pawsome reviews.

Viki Carpenter of Cornwall Today and Dog Friendly Cornwall magazines said: "What the Talland Bay Hotel team seems to understand is that for many people, a dog truly is part of the family. That they are prepared to go out of their way to make sure you are all taken care of is what makes them one of the finest hotels that Cornwall has to offer.” -https://dogfriendlycornwall.co.uk/

We’ve also had the seal of approval from Basil the cockapoo of Travel with Basil and Ferguson from Phatcupcake.
