The coastal path in this region is also the perfect area to spot species offshore and so it would be advisable for walkers to invest in a pair of good quality binoculars as it is very likely that during the summer months one of the following will be spotted offshore. The species to look out for include:

- Common dolphins
- Whales
- Basking sharks
- Seals
