The waters around the Cornish coast are regularly checked throughout the year by individual district councils. The water surrounding Talland Bay is routinely judged to be excellent and this is great news for bathers and wildlife alike. Next time you visit, bring a pair of binoculars – you are likely to see dolphins (six different types, including the Bottlenose and the Atlantic White-sided dolphin, are regular visitors), basking sharks, porpoises, seals and leatherback turtles.
If you are lucky, you might even catch sight of a whale – Minke, Pilot and Orca whales are no strangers to the Cornish coast. At the Talland Bay Hotel, we see some fantastic wildlife throughout the year – join us for a relaxing break and see what you can spot.
