Port Eliot Festival
27th-30th July 2017
Taking place each summer in the woodland gardens and park of an ancient stately home and mediaeval monastery in south east Cornwall, Port Eliot Festival remains a rare original, an event which “runs the gamut from endearingly pseudish to singularly brilliant”. Described as a literary festival, but with the feel of a garden party. Attracts mix of celebs, art lovers, foodies, party animals and book worms. Find out more here.
Journey into Space, Eden Project

Boconnoc Steam Fair
28th-30th July 2017
An old fashioned steam extravaganza held annually in the magnificent grounds of the Boconnoc Estate. Showcases vintage vehicles including full size and miniature steam engines. Find out more here.
Looe Carnival Week
30th July - 5th August 2017
The highlight of the Looe Lions' calendar with a week of events that appeal to everyone. Entertainment for the whole family is guaranteed as the busy seaside town gears up for seven days of fun. Find out more here.
British Firework Championships
9th-10th August 2017
The British fireworks championships in Plymouth is recognised as the premier annual display in the UK, each year six professional display companies are selected by draw to take part – three on each evening of the event. Find out more here.
Fowey Regatta and Carnival Week
13th-19th August 2017
One of the best local regattas in the country, with a fun-filled week for all the family. Events include a midweek Carnival, Red Arrows display and a spectacular firework display over the harbour. There’s a full programme of races, including the famous Troys, a class of sailing boat built only in Fowey. Find out more here.
South East Cornwall Walking Festival
16th-23rd September 2017
Once again it’s time to dig out the walking boots and explore South East Cornwall on foot. Visit locations such as the historic fishing port of Polperro, rural hamlets, the Tamar Valley, and the edge of Bodmin Moor. All the walks are led by guides and range from more gentle options of two miles to the more challenging seven-mile trek. Find out more here.
