Cornish Choughs

The Cornish Chough is a very rare species which was practically extinct in Cornwall until 2001. The Cornish Chough is a member of the crow family and has a black body with an orange beak and legs.

Walkers should be on the look out for this bird especially when walking the Cornish coastal path. Cornish Choughs use sea cliffs to nest in and feed in and around the grassy hill tops.
