Talland Bay Hotel has recently been refurbished and is looking absolutely breathtaking. The hotel is situated above the bay. Serene as it may look now, in previous times, it had a darker history. The bay itself has been used for drug smuggling in the 1970’s. So one can only imagine what was smuggled before that. Casks of Rum or Brandy maybe! Today, things are a lot safer and you are more likely to meet dog or coastal walkers on their way to Looe or Polperro, than drunken old sailors. Still, you never know your luck!!

Every room has been lovingly refurbished; each one has its own individual touches and no two rooms are alike. From our Sea View Rooms, you can watch the moon rise over the hillside on a clear night, flooding the sea with moonlight; a magical sight you are unlikely to ever forget.

Talland Bay Hotel is a dog friendly hotel. ‘Alfie’ is a little dynamic Tibetan Terrier who loves just about everyone; dogs, children and adults alike. He has just been joined by ‘Bonnie’, an eight week old Yorkie/Schitzu cross puppy, who is a little bundle of fun. We also have two resident Rag Doll cats, ‘Flo’ and ‘Jonty’.
